Social Justice Project – Step 1

To wrap up our discussion of the sacraments, we will be applying the idea of sacramental worldview and grace to social justice issues going on in the world today. The Catholic Church has a long history of social work and teaching, a fight against injustice rooted in our faith.

For Thursday, please do the following:

  1. Choose a social justice issue (must be local – can be a national or international issue, but that is still relevant and affects us in Utah)
  2. Find an article that gives an overview of the issue.
  3. Write a one paragraph explanation:
    1. Summarize the issue (Who? What? Where? Why?)
    2. Give 2-3 reasons why you are interested in this issue
  4. Email me both a link to the article and your paragraph no later than 7:59 am Thursday morning.
